Twenty years of looking closely.

AV Boucher began as a working studio in 2006 and grew, slowly and without much announcement, into a small private collection. The two have never really separated — most of what we hold, we hold because it taught us something about the work we were making at the time.

We favour pieces that take time to read: paintings that change under different light, sculpture that asks you to walk around it, photographs that only make sense once you know what's just outside the frame. Nothing here is acquired for the wall it will fill.

The collection is shown by appointment, in small groups, in the room where the pieces actually live. We've found that's the only way to see them properly.
